Welcome to the Scarlet Lawrence Akins Foundation’s website.  We are excited that you have visited and hope you visit often.  This site was created to share the mission of promoting education about skin cancer or Melanoma.

A special thanks to all that participated in the 2008 Run From the Sun© 5K.  The race was quite the success as we had over 550 participants and raised over $33,000 to benefit the Melanoma Research Foundation.
